Christina, Nicole, Toni and Stella all give birth

Celebrity births are a bit like London buses – you wait all year for one and they all come at once. Hollywood reported a bumper batch of babies born this weekend to well-known mums. First to have her baby was British designer Stella McCartney. She and husband Alasdhair Willis welcomed their third child, a son, Beckett Robert Lee on 8 January.

Next to announce a birth was Oscar-winning actress Toni Collette whose first daughter Sage Florence was born in Sydney on 9th January.

Then in Hollywood, two much anticipated babies made their debut. First into the world was Nicole Richie's 's daughter Harlow Winter Kate who was born on 11 January. A representative for Nicole and boyfriend Joel Madden said: ' The beautiful healthy baby girl is home with her ecstatic parents.'

Last, but not least, was singer Christina Aguilera who had a baby boy, Max Liron on 12 January. Christina chose to use the birth of her child to post a video on to her fansite saying; ' Today is a very joyful and special day for Jordan and I as we welcome our first son into this world. In honor of our love for each other and our growing family, I have put together a special video for the song "Save Me From Myself" off my Back to Basics album. This video is very dear to me as it includes actual footage from our personal wedding video!'
