Holiday Henna Tattoo Burns Boy 10 July 2008 Ten-year-old could be scarred for life
Charlie's mother Pauline Wallace told the Daily Mail: 'A few hours after it was done it started swelling up. I was absolutely petrified - I was worried it would start to eat away at the skin or be poisonous.’ Weeks after the holiday Charlie is still sporting a massive scar, the pain of which has caused him to take weeks off school. 'It is the school holidays coming up and if ten mums read this and stop their children getting henna tattoos it's worthwhile,' said his mother. 'I don’t want other people, especially little kids, going through what Charlie has been through. There were no warnings in the tattoo shop - it was a reputable tattoo parlour on the complex. Charlie only wanted the tattoo temporarily to show his mates now he realises he might have it for good he is quite upset.’
