Princess Bea starts work at Selfridges

It's not at all unusual for teenagers to find themselves a shop job to save up money for gap year travel. But it is unusual to pitch up at Selfridges store in London and find yourself being served by a Princess.

Princess Beatrice was probably hoping to spend at least some of her gap year job as an anonymous sales girl, but she was spotted working as a personal shopper for VIP customers in the Oxford Street store.

A shopper quoted in the Sun said: 'She rushed by with an armful of clothes and headed off towards the Gucci section. I thought, "That looks just like Fergie" - then I realised it was her daughter Princess Beatrice."
