Families Spend £41 Each Morning 3 March 2008 Rising bills cost us £41 a day before we're out of bed
This rise in living costs is worrying consumer bodies who fear that families might fall behind in crucial mortgage payments and other debts. 'Our debt inquiry figures suggest that growing numbers of people are not only finding themselves over-committed on credit cards, loans and overdrafts, but are also struggling to meet day- to- day living expenses,' said Moira Haynes, of the Citizens Advice Bureau. 'Any increases in household bills are going to add to the pressure on people whose finances are already stretched to the limit.'
