My daughter's my 'partner in crime' says Kate

Eyebrows may have been raised last week when she was shortlisted for a Mum of the Year award, but Kate Moss has been busy telling Vogue this month what a fab mother she really is. Asked if she read Lila, 4, a bedtime story Moss tells the magazine; ''Course, absolutely every night.'

Speaking of her relationship with her daughter Kate says of the day she was born; ' I felt like, now I've got a partner in crime…I'm never going to have to be on my own again.'

'She's a Mini-Me,' adds Moss. 'I think she looks like her dad, but there are some bits of me.' Clearly the similarity extends to an interest in fashion. ''She comes in at bedtime and says, 'Mummy, do you think this is a good look?' and then she has a fashion crisis. I say, "You will wear what I tell you," but she says she's the adult of the bedroom. Now we lay the clothes out before she goes to bed but then she goes, 'Mum, I need options.'

We particularly like the story of when Lila met Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. As Moss tells it, the four-year-old wasn't particularly impressed, asking their royal highnesses; ''How come if you are princesses you don't have tiaras and a pink dress?'
