'I Told You So' says dad

It seemed as if there was no end to the number of candidates for the paternity suit over Dannielynn Smith, the daughter of the late Playboy model Anna Nicole Smith. But DNA tests out this week have revealed that the baby's father is not the man who currently has custody.

Anna Nicole's partner Howard Stern was given custody by a court in the Bahamas, but the tests have revealed that her former boyfriend Larry Birkhead is actually Dannielynn's father.

'I hate to be the one to tell you this but - I told you,' Mr Birkhead told reporters on the courthouse steps in Nassau. ' Nothing's really determined except parentage and I'm the father,' he said, adding; 'I'm going to the toy store.'

Mr Stern appeared to support the verdict, hugging Mr Birkhead and saying he would support him in applying for full custody of little Dannielynn.
