New Kids Phone Launched
November 29 2005
Mobile service aimed at children as young as four

teddyfone Following the demise in January of the first mobile handset aimed at very young children, MyMo, another phone company has jumped into the space with a service marketed at primary school age children.

Teddyfone is being marketed as suitable for children as young as four. Shaped like a teddy, it features four buttons which can be pre-programmed with parents' numbers for children to call. According to its manufacturers it has 'the lowest emissions on the market'.

Given that parents of most children in this age bracket already know where their children are at most times, we can't see why children this young would need one. What do you think? Talk about this on our forums here
