Road To Ruin
September 27 2006

Toddler buys £9,000 car on Ebay

nissan figaroLittle boys love playing with cars but three year-old Jack Neal was thinking bigger than most when a Barbie-pink Nissan Figaro took his eye.

According to his mum, the crafty toddler 'just pressed all the right buttons' when left unsupervised on the family computer, and won the soft-top second-hand car for £9,000 at the online auction site Ebay.

The first things that Jack's parents, Rachel (36) and John (37), knew about the deal was when they received a message from the site's administration, congratulating them for buying the car.

Luckily, the vendor saw the funny side and plans to re-list the car soon, or Jack would have to face a 14-year wait before he could take his new motor out on the street of his hometown, Sleaford, in Lincolnshire.

Paul Jones, co-director of Worcester Road Motors who is selling the vehicle, said 'he must have good taste in cars'.
