Beckham Bottles Homework
February 27 2006

Brooklyn 1, David 0

teacher writing on board He may be one of the highest paid sportsmen in the world, but David Beckham is flunking maths in a big way. In an interview with the Mail on Sunday, Beckham admitted that he's had problems helping six-year-old Brooklyn with his homework.

'Their homework is so hard these days,' the footballer reveals. 'I sat down with Brooklyn the other day - and I was like 'Victoria, maybe you should do the homework tonight." I think it was maths actually. It's totally done differently to what I was teached when I was at school and you know I was like, "Oh my God, I can't do this!".

'While his grip of grammar may be weak, Beckham's a hard man when it comes to his children's behaviour. 'I am quite strict, believe it or not, in every way.we have the naughty stair at home and if [Brooklyn or Romeo] have been naughty they sit on the second step of the stairs. If we're somewhere else, they'll sit on a naughty chair. I'm very strong on respect. I bring my sons up to show respect to people. Brooklyn and Romeo will never get anything unless they have said 'Please' or 'thank-you'. I absolutely make sure of that and so does Victoria.'
