Primary Schoolboy Wins Lottery
September 26 2005

Youngster lands £27m winning ticket

boy jumping A youngster who's still in primary school has won a massive windfall in the Italian national lottery. The boy, who can't be named for legal reasons, bought a ticket in the lunch break with his pocket money, and won an astonishing £27.6 million!

Children in Italy aren't allowed to gamble, but they are allowed to participate in the Lottery.

'I am still waiting to meet the little winner,' said Raffaele Umbriano, spokesman for the lottery competition. Understandably, so are the rest of the locals in Frattamaggiore, near Naples, where the ticket was bought!
