Pupil Told To ‘Top Himself’ September 26 2005 School suspends teacher after baiting shy pupil
It's the second incidence of apparently bullying tactics by teachers at Thornhill School in Sunderland. A teacher was accused just eight weeks ago of reducing a child to tears by calling him a 'fatso' in front of his classmates.

A teacher in Sunderland has been suspended after allegedly telling a pupil to 'top himself'. The remark came
to light when the 13-year-old boy told his parents that his teacher had ridiculed him in front of his class for
being too shy, saying 'I don't like nobodies. Go and top yourself.'
