Unsurprisingly, park owners were quick to account for their ticket pricing. A spokesperson for Legoland said that other surveys put visitor satisfaction to their park at the highest levels. 'Our price reflects this, together with our steady investment in new rides and attractions.'

The cost of taking a family to many UK attractions and parks has risen to a point where
almost all parents feel they're a rip-off. A survey by Mothercare found that the average price
of a family ticket (two adults and two children) to a theme park in the UK was £80. 96% of
the parents surveyed said that they thought the high prices charged were too expensive.
