The girlfriend of a British victim of the Tsunami that devastated Asia eight months ago, has given birth to his baby. Miss Macro, 29, delivered a 7 lb 4oz baby boy on Saturday in Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. She has named him Theodore Jez.

When Jez Stephens was killed on the Thai island of Phi Phi, neither he nor his girlfriend Kelly Macro knew she was carrying his child.

"It was sad because I didn't get to tell Jez about it," she said yesterday. "But I just think that, although he's not here, Jez is proud of me and of his new baby son. I will always have Theo to remind me of my memories of Jez."

Jez Stephens, 29, had gone to Phi Phi with his friends Craig Cardwell and Gareth Marks during a three-week holiday. Both Mr Cardwell and Mr Marks survived the disaster.
