There’s a great story from the Scottish papers today about a mother of eight, who in her ‘spare’ time was able to study for a degree in law. Jackie Flynn, whose children range in age from 13 months to 18, will graduate today from Paisley University with a degree in Law.

Mrs Flynn took five years in evening classes to attain her degree – in which she got a distinction – helped by her husband who looked after the kids when she was studying. ‘One of the positives has been that even the children have got the study bug and can’t wait to go to university,’ a delighted Jackie told reporters.
