Primary schoolkids witness mother's attack at school gates

A mother of two was stabbed at the gates of her oldest child's school yesterday by another woman. Helena Estridge, who was still holding the hand of her two year old when she was attacked, was stabbed in the head just as she arrived at the James Dixon Primary School in Crystal Palace, South London.

A parent told The Sun; ' It wasn’t clear exactly where she was stabbed but it looked to be rushing from her head. She walked into the school reception and her coat was soaked in blood. Lots of children saw it unfold. It’s just horrifying. Her two-year-old, who was sobbing, was taken to another room by another teacher. Everyone is very shocked by what has happened.'

It's thought that the attacker was the mother of another child at the school and that the incident was related to bullying at the school.
