Baby Makes 'Remarkable Progress' August 22 2005 Doctors admit Charlotte getting better
She has made what they describe as 'remarkable progress' since the controversial High Court ruling. This new evidence has prompted her parents Debbie and Darren to go to the Court of Appeal on Thursday, to try and overturn the original ruling, and ensure their daughter would be resuscitated if she stops breathing. At last October's hearing medical experts argued that it was highly unlikely she would survive the winter and putting her on a ventilator would be 'intolerable' to her. Mrs Wyatt, 24, from Portsmouth, said: "[They] said they would not resuscitate her because of her quality of life. But .Charlotte can go outside for 40 minutes in the hospital grounds with an oxygen mask. She can see and hear, and she knows who Darren and I are."
