Couple beat odds to give birth to different colour twins

doctor The chances of a mixed race couple giving birth to different coloured twins are more than a million to one. But one Nottinghamshire couple has done just that. Kylie Hodgson, 19, and her partner Remi Horder, 17 were more than a little surprised at the birth of their twin daughters when one child was black and the other white.

Both Kylie and Remi are of mixed parentage - their mothers are white and their fathers are black. When the midwife planted Kylie's daughters in her arms after giving birth, she found that baby Remee had blue eyes and blonde hair and baby Kian had brown skin and black hair.

Kylie, who gave birth by Caesarean section, tells The Sun: 'I didn't see them at first. They were whisked away to be checked over and then the midwife came back and placed them both in my arms. Whilst Remee was blonde, Kian's hair was black and she had darker skin. I will explain it to them when they are older.'
