Fife Mum defends unusual names for her children

tag At first glance, the Hart family from Fife look like any other happy family. But that's before you're introduced to them. Eldest sons, seven-year-old Joe and six-year-old Troy have relatively sedate monikers, but that's more than you can say for their younger siblings.

The youngest of the brood is called Sonneywolferine - a name that mum Chauntelle and her children came up with by a joint decision. The Hart's only daughter rejoices in the fantastical name of Storm Cristal Brandy Tanisha Linda Genevieve Saffron Bronwen Hart.

'I just think it sounds really nice,' is Chauntelle's take on her youngest son's name. 'I'm happy that it's a bit unusual and I've always liked names that are different and stand out a bit. People do find it a bit strange when we tell them the children's names. They usually go 'What?' and I have to tell them again. They get used to it though and seem to quite like it.'
