Father's quick thinking stops bus crashing into kids

A real-life hero has been found in the city of Norwich. Father of two, Dean Sutcliffe, 33 used his quick wits to bring a runaway bus to a halt just before it crashed into a group of children.

Mr Sutcliffe used his car to ram a runaway bus as it swerved towards a group of children using a pedestrian crossing. 'The crossing was full of kids and the bus was heading towards them," he told the Eastern Daily Press. 'It was crashing into everything. Somebody had to take charge so I stuck the car into it and brought it to a stop.'

It's thought that two teenagers had tampered with the bus's handbrake before it rolled off its stop. But thanks to Mr Sutcliffe's experience as a British off-road motor racing championships competitor, he knew the right thing do to!
