Government lays down the law for Dads

Do the fathers of newborn babies need reminding not to do the dirty on their partners? Apparently so, according to a new booklet published by the government. The Dad Pack, which will be sent out to maternity wards, nurseries – and prisons! – cost £50,000 to produce and is full of gems including the reminder to men 'not to have affairs' when their wives are pregnant.

Other advice featured in the pack includes the following:

Bite your lip, not your partner, when she is ratty.

Shop, clean, decorate. When knackered, try not to say 'who is having this baby, you or me?

Raising children costs money, which can be tough. But it needn't make you poor. Your whole life changes so you just spend your money differently.

'Your partner may be too knackered to think about sex... You both need time together. We're talking massaging her, hot baths together - but no sex, no pressure (if that makes you horny, sort yourself out beforehand).
