Does your partner suffer from pram envy?

If your partner gets a little over-excited when talking about the number of cup-holders on your new buggy, perhaps he could be suffering from Pram Envy. A survey of 350 dads by Yellow Pages has apparently identified Pram Envy as a new phenomenon. It seems to be particularly acute if the man in question had to swap a sporty car for a sensible family saloon on becoming a father.

More than a quarter of those dads surveyed said they had envied another man's pram (honestly – we're reproducing this direct from the press release!). A further 28% said they were prone to boasting about their own pram to friends and family.

If men had the opportunity to add any James Bond-style dream feature to their child's buggy, top of the list of special features were an electrically powered convertible-style pram cover, a DVD player, live football scores, satellite navigation, power steering and even a speedometer.

The most highly-rated prams amongst men were Mamas & Papas with Silver Cross and Graco in second and third place.
