Boys win out when it comes to Christmas

boy with present Boys win out when it comes to Christmas Boys are much more likely to get the expensive electronic present of their choice, according to a new survey by Woolworths. The online poll of 3500 parents with children under 16, found that girls are more likely to want cheaper presents such as dolls and dressing up toys, whilst boys are more likely to want electronic goods or computer games.

The survey also found that boys are much better at pestering their parents for their present of choice, making them much more likely to have more money spent on them. The poll showed that parents spent an average of £223 on presents for their sons, compared to £127 on their daughters. This is borne out by the fact that the top five boys' toys for Christmas in Woolworths add up to £428.95, but just £162.45 for girls.
