Mine's A Lemonade, Dude! December 5 2005 NY's super-rich kids get their own nightclub
The club is the brainchild of New York real-estate mogul Grant Shapolsky and comes complete with burly security guards and the all-important red-rope protecting the club's trendy clientele from less rarified teenagers. 'We want the cool kids, the trendsetters,' says Shapolsky, but he added, 'I do not want to scar anybody.' 'The important thing about teens in New York is that they are their own people with jobs who want to drink energy drinks, not mocktails,' says Lexi Lehman, the club's 17-year-old promoter. 'Teenagers don't want to be exposed to alcohol or older men. It's scary.'
