Has creative child-naming had its day? We look at the names celebrities picked for their babies in 2007 to find out.

Celebrity baby naming often goes through trends. Once upon a time, stars would throw caution to the wind when it came to naming their children, coming up with outlandish names that would merit serious playground taunting for lesser mortals.

Then a few years ago the A-listers went all 'Upstairs Downstairs' on us - calling their kids names that would once have been bestowed on scullery maids. Suddenly the playgrounds of Belsize Park and Notting Hill were full of children named Rosie, Poppy and Alfie.

Even last year's crop of famous offspring broke a new trend of children with a distinct biblical bent with names such as Shiloh and Moses.

But this year it's been pretty difficult to discern a particular trend. Katie Price and Peter Andre went for unconventional (and hard-to-spell) with their daughter Princess Tiammii - 'We've put an accent over the first 'a' to make it a bit more exotic and two 'ii's at the end just to make it a bit different,' was Katie's explanation at the time. Meanwhile, Kerry Katona took inspiration from the Alps with the choice of Heidi for her daughter.

If there was a trend at all, it was for strong names such as Hero, Gulliver, Beau and Grace. Let's hope in 2008 the stars revert to more creative names for their kids!
