Get your toddlers ready for some serious summer fun!

Are you looking for ideas to keep your toddlers entertained this summer? Well look no further than Barnardo’s Big Toddle, which takes place in June and throughout the summer months.

This annual half-mile sponsored walk for the under-fives, saw 120,000 toddlers, taking part last year, raising a staggering £1million for Barnardo’s work with disadvantaged children under-five and their local community.

The Big Toddle can be as easy and as flexible as you like – it’s all about children having fun and getting the opportunity to play. You can organise your own Toddle around the local park, walk in fancy dress or do it as part of a picnic, or you can encourage your child’s nursery or pre-school to do it as a group. The nursery can even keep 25% of funds raised if they wish to spend on their own project.

Barnardo’s also holds a number of organised Toddles around the UK, with celebrity involvement and children’s entertainment.

Better To Give
The Toddle is a great way to introduce your toddler to the idea of charitable giving. The money they raise will be spent on Barnardo’s early years work with the under-fives, so it’s all about children helping children.

Funds raised will be spent on diverse services, such as projects for children with disabilities, family centres and to help those children living in unsuitable or temporary accommodation.

This year the focus is on giving these children better play opportunities, something we feel is essential to the emotional and developmental well-being of a child.
