Easter: Budget Family Breaks
Family travel budgets are a tricky thing to write about. The size of one family's budget for a fortnight's holiday, might be what another family would spend on a weekend break. With that in mind, we've come up with a range of hotels where a family of four can have a weekend away for under £400.*
Alton Towers Resort
Staffordshire
As you'd expect from a hotel linked to one of the country's top family attractions, the Alton Towers Resort is supremely family friendly. What's more your stay here includes access to the hotel's leisure centre – and sometimes includes entry into the park as well. There's even entertainment thrown in at night in the form of lavish stage shows.
Cost: Family room with double bed and a bunk bed, breakfast included - £337.20

Beadnell Towers Hotel
Northumbria
Just a few minutes walk from the Northumberland coast, the Beadnell Towers is that rare beast – a small, welcoming family hotel where both the bedrooms and food are top-notch. It's also a great setting for a family break. Nine miles down the road is the Alnwick Gardens with the world's best treehouse playground for kids.

Kingsmills Hotel

Priory Inn, Tetbury
Gloucestershire

Riverdale House

All the rooms at this family-run B&B are lovely, but what gives Riverdale House its X factor is the

Cost: The Heselwood room has a double bed and separate sitting room which can turn into a room for the kids, breakfast included - £240

Shoreline Hotel, Bognor Regis
