o support Back to the Table Week, Raisingkids.co.uk has launched a website www.backtothetable.co.uk Pictures, poems and stories will be posted on the site and families taking part can win prizes for their efforts. Sponsors of the campaign have donated many high value items, including bread-makers, slow cookers and food processors, plus there'll be cookbooks, DVDs, and all sorts of other goodies to be won.

The site contains lots of interesting information about the importance of the family meal for children and the latest news about food and family eating from around the world. To help mum prepare something special, there are many imaginative recipes. For parents who have problem with their child’s diet or eating habits, there are answers from a Food and Nutrition expert and guidance from Raisingkids’ founder Dr Pat Spungin.

Dr Pat Spungin of Raisingkids says; ‘Although most families say they sit down together for meals, a very large proportion of them, have the television on. They follow the lives of families in Albert Square and Coronation Street and pass up the chance to find out what’s going in their own home. We know that family meals are good for children and good for families, so we are urging everyone to take part in Back to the Table Week and have at least one family meal during the week.’
