We all know what kind of treats kids like, but what about their mums?
We asked 1125 parents to tell us about their attitudes to treats and treating, and to share with us what their favourite treats were.
Interestingly the results show that far from wanting things like exotic holidays or designer accessories – the treats mothers crave the most are things money can't buy like more sleep and more 'me time'.
The top 10 treats in order of importance are:
1. A good night's sleep or a lie-in
2. A relaxing bath with no-one to disturb me
3. Reading a good book without interruption
4. My favourite TV show or DVD with a glass of wine
5. Chocolate, sweets, or biscuits
6. Having the house to myself
7. A candlelit dinner with my partner
8. A cup of tea with my favourite biscuits
9. Buying myself flowers
10. A cup of tea in bed in the morning
Do you agree? What's your favourite treat? Chat with other parents here in our Treat Talk! forum.
These findings are based on Raisingkids.co.uk survey of 1125 parents. The survey was conducted online between 6th and 10th December 2007.
