Jerry earned his AS Dental Hygiene from Indiana University and a BS in Education from Indiana University/Purdue University. He furthered his education with majors in psychology, guidance and counseling.

He is a screenwriter, freelance speechwriter, motivational speaker and former university instructor. Jerry has won many awards for his writings. Originally from Indiana, he moved to Las Vegas in 1982 and met his wonderful wife Vanessa there in 1997. It was in Las Vegas that he decided to retire from dental hygiene after 30 years. He mainly practiced with general, paediatric and periodontal dentists. Although he has retired, he still keeps up with what's new in dentistry.

In September 2001 they moved to England to return to Vanessašs roots. Jerry and Vanessa are very proud parents of two children Alana, 4 and Ronan, 18 months. Jerry also has a son Eric, 27, from his first marriage, whom he is equally proud of.
