Midwife Genevieve Kingston's Advice I have always advised women with navel piercings to remove them as soon as they can. The skin on the abdomen is quite thin and pregnancies can suddenly expand when you least expect it, so one day the piercing will be fine, and the next day not. But by that point, of course, it's too late!
