Online Midwife: I'm Just So Tired!

tired woman It's the last stage of pregnancy and the mother of a three year old is feeling as if she's on her last legs. Genevieve Kingston offers a shoulder to cry on.

Raisingkids member's problem
I am 28 years of age. I have a young son who's three and I'm due to have my second baby any day now. My husband also has two other children from a previous relationship who are six and seven.

I am so very tired now. I just want the baby out. I'm very snappy with my son and the other two when they're here. I just can't cope any more. I need some helpful advice please.

Midwife Genevieve Kingston's Advice
The last bit of pregnancy is horrid. Nothing is comfortable and all you want to do is sleep... if you could get comfortable! I don't know if you're doing this, but find a flat pillow and put it under the side of your mattress, it'll help support the bump so it doesn't drag so much at night. The bath is also a wonderful place at this point.

Your little one won't remember this bit, but make time for him when you can, snuggly stories and treats, the older two will survive. Do tell your midwife how you feel, she may suggest something you hadn't thought of, or she might just tell you you're completely normal.
