Opal Dunn is a prize-winning educational consultant, lecturer, author and broadcaster specialising in early first language and first foreign language development.

Her many years experience combines the theoretical and the strictly practical with countless parents, teacher trainers, teachers, and - of course - children and babies world-wide. In 1998 she was short listed for the UK Eleanor Farjeon Prize.

Opal, now resident in North London, is a regular contributor to Nursery World.
