recommend avoiding certain cheeses during pregnancy. But which ones? Family

Which cheeses are safe to eat during pregnancy?
Dr Morrison's advice
The concern about eating cheeses during
pregnancy is that some of them contain a bacteria called Listeria.
An infection with this is relatively harmless in an adult but may occationally
cause serious infections such as meningitis in a foetus. Avoid unpasteurised
cheeses and any 'soft' ones such as Brie, Camembert etc. (this also includes
cream cheeses and cottage cheese).
Other foods that are susceptible to listeria are pates and previously-cooked
'chilled' foods e.g pre-washed, bagged salad leaves.
