Development 4-6 Mths: A World Of Wonder

IMAGE: Your baby wants to touch, turn, hold, shake and taste everything that he sees. Your baby's 'into everything' and everything is fascinating.

Your baby is playful and curious about everything - have fun with him and help him learn. Right now everything is a learning opportunity for your baby.

Centre of attention
He wants to be in the thick of things and prefers sitting up, so he can watch what's going on. Let him look in a mirror - he's fascinated by faces, including his own. He's also developing a memory. Read him nursery rhymes - he may try to copy some of the sounds you make.

Let's play, let's learn
Watch how carefully he examines his fingers, his toes and his toys. He turns objects upside down and looks into containers. He wants to touch, turn, hold, shake and taste everything that he sees. Play games that focus on his fingers or toes, like This Little Piggy and Round And Round The Garden.
