Is our Baby Blogger destined to wear baggy, shapeless clothes forever? Is High Street fashion lost to her forever? Read on...

That's it then. I'm never going to fit into any of my old clothes, ever. Well, I can obviously still fit into anything ugly, baggy, shapeless and washed-out, because that's just a reflection on my life. But anything vaguely smart, sexy or going-outy is a definite no-no.

And it's not as though I can even go out and buy myself something decent to replace my old wardrobe, because at 5'8" and 11 stone, I am obviously obese in the eyes of the high street and destined to shop in Elasticated-Waists-R-Us for eternity.

Do You Have That In A Sack?
I am a size 16 in Gap and French Connection, and unable to squeeze my oversized bum into anything at all in Reiss or Ted Baker. It's always really ego-boosting when the sales assistant hands you something that could easily make a parachute and says 'try these then, they’re cut a lot more generously' and you end up looking like the leftover sausage in the pack with a fairly obscene camel hoof to top it all off.

The comment, 'What about Long Tall Sally? They must cater for people with wide pelvises' wasn't really helpful. If anything it's given me something else to worry about. Does my pelvis look big in this?

Let Battle Commence!
Healthy eating, three gym sessions a week, swimming and walking just about everywhere with a pavement have not shifted an ounce in months, so it's war with my body. Fruit tea (hot water with the smell, but not the taste of fruit), salads, grilled chicken and watercress soup are all on the menu. I'll keep you posted (if, of course, I have the energy to type) with if it works or if I'm fated to live in comfy clothes for the foreseeable future.
